Carol Louise Hendrickson

Carol Louise Hendrickson, 75, passed away on June 17, 2024, in Evans, Georgia. She was born on February 4, 1949, in Fort Worth, Texas to Carl and Dorothy Armstrong. 

Carol  graduated from Tucker High School in 1967 and received a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from Emory University in 1972. Her compassion for helping others led her to a fulfilling career a registered nurse in Atlanta and Augusta, where she devoted over 30 years to serving others with kindness and patience.  In 1978, Carol married the love of her life, Philip Hendrickson, in a beautiful ceremony at Briarlake Baptist Church in Tucker, GA. Together, they raised three children, Eric, Amy, and Michael, and were blessed with four grandchildren: Mallory, Michaela, Hayes, and Caroline.

Carol's hobbies included bible study, reading, playing the piano, and  singing.  Carol was a member and actively sang in the choir at Marvin United Methodist Church since 1987.  Carol was active in the Ga-Lina Walk to Emmaus and Chrysalis Communities since 1995.  

Surviving family members include her husband Philip Hendrickson; son Eric Hendrickson; daughter Amy Agee and spouse Josh Agee; grandchildren Michaela Agee, Caroline Agee, Hayes Hendrickson, and Mallory Hendrickson; brother Carl Larry Armstrong and spouse Karen Armstrong; nephew Andy Armstrong; aunt Elaine Herring; cousin Kathy Rosenbalm; and cousin Sylvia Patrick.

Carol is preceded in death by her father, Carl Armstrong; mother, Dorothy Herring Armstrong; and son, Michael Hendrickson.

A visitation service to honor Carol's life will be held at Platt's Funeral Home in Evans on Thursday, June 20, 2024. The visitation will take place from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM to allow friends and loved ones to pay their respects. 

A graveside service to celebrate the life of Carol will be held at Bellevue Memorial Gardens in Grovetown, GA on Friday, June 21, 2024 at 9:00am for friends and family.  

In lieu of Flowers the Hendricksons have requested donations to the Mikey Foundation in honor Carol in the memory of her youngest son Michael at www.mikeyfoundation.com or to Michael J.
