James Dean Bailey Ii

James Dean Bailey II, age 42, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2023, at Doctors Hospital of Augusta, Georgia.


He was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, on June 6, 1980, to parents James Dean Bailey and Carla Jean West.


He joined the Navy on September 28, 1999, and was assigned to Hawaii, where he got to know Leisah Mae Canieso, a woman who had emigrated from the Philippines with her family. Jordan Machelle Bailey, Dylan James Bailey, and Brielle Sabine Bailey are the three children they had after getting married in 2002.


James received a bachelor's degree in science in information technology from the University of Phoenix in 2008. Since 2012, he has been a specialist in information technology for the U.S. Army Command.


He is survived by his loving wife, his children, and his father. He was predeceased by his mother, Carla Jean West.


A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor at 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Platt’s Funeral Home, Belair Road Chapel. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
