John Richard Swearingen

Mr. John Richard Swearingen, 70, entered into rest on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Doctors Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Bellevue Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Michael Davenport officiating.

John was a carpenter. He was a US Army vet who served in Vietnam, and was a member of Marks Baptist Church.

He is survived by his children; Richard Swearingen (Kate), Michael Swearingen (Nikki), Jessica Swearingen and Hallie Swearingen, his sisters; Gloria S. Bagby and Mary Ruth Cosnahan, his grandchildren; Lily and Clara Swearingen as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Izora, his sister, Joy, and his twin brother, Joel.

The family will receive friends at Platts Belair Chapel on Sunday evening, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
