Mr. Ronnie Franklin Boyd, beloved husband of Karen, entered into rest on Thursday, July 18, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 27, 2024 in the Belair Road Chapel of Platts Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Jefferson officiating. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service. Burial will be private.

Ronnie was born to the late Rev. Calvin Franklin and Sarah Marie Boyd. He spent most of his life in New York, where he obtained a Regents Diploma at Automotive High School before attending Brooklyn College. He retired in 2019, and his family decided to move south, and they made their home in Grovetown, Ga. He was a golfer and a bowler and enjoyed fishing as well. Ronnie will be remembered as a man full of humor and fun who was always the life of the party.

In addition to his wife, Karen, he is survived by his daughter,Eve "Mimi" Alston, his siblings, Brenda Wells, Vanessa Brown (Marvin), Vivian Lorraine Boyd-Thompson (Earl), Steven Boyd (Myrta), and Wanda Boyd, a special friend, Neil James, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Boyd and a sister, Elaine Boyd.
