Roy Gregory "Greg" Hooks

Mr. Roy Gregory “Greg” Hooks, 68, entered into rest on Friday, June 14, 2024, at his home with his cherished wife of 33 years, Linda Amerson Hooks, by his side. Greg left us way too soon after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. 

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at the mausoleum of Bellevue Memorial Gardens with the Elder Dwayne Hooven officiating.

Roy was born in Augusta in 1955 to Roy Milton Hooks and Willene Skinner Hooks. He graduated from Aquinas High School in 1974. He was a chemical operator at Halocarbon and later DSM, before retiring in 2002. After retiring, he spent most of his time with his family, helping to raise and nurture his daughters. He loved cooking for his family and beloved pets. He was of Primitive Baptist faith, having attended the Augusta Old Line Primitive Baptist Church faithfully for over 33 years. 

In addition to his wife, Linda, he is survived by his daughters, Katherine and Sarah, brother Kennedy “Ken” Hooks and an aunt, Mary Joan Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Willene Hooks. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Augusta Old Line Primitive Baptist Church, 3646 Riverwatch Pkwy, Augusta, GA 30907.
