Cathy Pizarro

Nitaya “Cathy” Pizarro, 54, of Grovetown, entered the presence of the Lord on Sunday, August 2nd at Augusta University Medical Center.

Cathy was born in Bangkok, Thailand to Rodney and Wanpen Gagnon. She was a 1983 Hephzibah High School graduate and earned an Associate Degree from Augusta Technical College. She then established a successful career of over 32 years with Delta Airlines.
Cathy married her high school sweetheart Jose Pizarro. They attended Trinity Baptist Church, where Cathy proudly served in the choir for over 2 years.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 7 years, Jose; her daughter, Nicole W Hill of Atlanta GA; her two stepdaughters Lauren(Baron) Mansfield and Lindsey Thomas of Evans GA; her sister K Vicky Arne of Salt Lake City Utah and her brothers W Jimmy Gagnon of Grovetown, S Bobby Gagnon(Jennifer) of Evans and Michael Graves of Florida; both her parents Rodney and Wanpen Gagnon of Martinez GA; her grandchildren Arleigh Mansfield (6), Madison Thomas (5), Banks Mansfield (1); and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was a true angel and Cathy’s infectious smile; laughter and spirit will be missed by so many.

A funeral service is scheduled for 11a.m. on Saturday August 15th at Trinity Baptist Church in Martinez GA. Due to state regulations and CDC guidelines, the immediate family will be live streaming their closed service to the main sanctuary of Trinity Baptist located at 4594 Columbia Rd where family and friends are welcome. The family has requested that masks be worn. The service will also be streamed live on the church’s Facebook page. The family is asking that the colors purple and yellow be worn, in Cathy’s honor.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made to Trinity Baptist Church, Grovetown Campus Building Fund.
