Col. George "Ray"Collins Usa Ret.

OL George Raymond Collins, USA Ret. beloved husband for the last forty-six years to his loving wife, Kyong Cha (Kim) Collins entered into rest on Monday, May 3, 2021 at Westwood Extended Care.

COL Collins was born on April 12, 1932, the youngest son of J. Everett Collins and Elizabeth A. Collins. He is preceded in death by his brothers, John, James and Roger. COL Collins was a 1950 graduate of Punchard High School, Andover, MA; Virginia Military Institute, BA degree; Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Boston, MA, DMD degree; Kansas State University, Master’s degree; and served in the US Army Dental Corps from 1959-1986. Retiring in 1986, he then joined the US Army Dental Service as a Civilian from 1987-1994.

In addition to his wife, COL Collins is survived by his two sons; George Collins, Jr. (Lorraine) of Saugerties, NY; and Henry Collins of Woodstock, NY, and by six grandchildren; Emily, Marlee, Kaily, Christi, Orion and Nathan.

He was a member of the Forest Hills Golf Club, GA Senior Golfers Association, Clemback Golf Association, the Military Officers Association of America, VMI Keydet Club, VMI Institute Society, and was a faithful member of the Church of the Good Shepherd.

Memorial services will be private.
