Debra Lewis

Debra Brewer Lewis, 60, of Evans, GA passed away on September 3, 2023.

She was born in Morristown, NJ to Robert and JoAnne Brewer on November 7, 1962. She graduated from West Side High School in 1980. After many years of cherished friendship and six months of dating, Debra married Michael Lewis on December 26, 1989.

Debra was a cosmetologist, amongst other jobs, but her proudest accomplishment was doting mother to her children. She was involved in their academics and volunteered many times for room mom and Vacation Bible Schools. She was a passionate reader and cherished spending time at the beach. She also valued self-care – often taking time to have her hair and nails done.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Lauren Whitaker Lewis and niece, Erin Meagher Tucker.

Debra is survived by her beloved husband of 34 years; children, Audrey and Rebecca Lewis; sisters, Nancy Greer, Stephanie Davis and Staci Holloway; niece, Lindsey Roberts and nephew, Russell Sorrell.

Memorial services, officiated by Rev. Joseph Cory Craine, will be on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 4pm at Platt’s funeral home in Evans. The family will receive guests immediately following for reception.
