Thomson, GA - Edna E. Wilson, 87, wife of the late Rex V. Wilson, entered into rest on Wednesday, November 14, 2012.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, November 17, 2012 with Dr. Terry Quick officiating. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery.
Edna was born in Monroe, GA to the late John and Queen Cartledge. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She retired from the Kendall Company after many years. Edna was the best Mother and Nannie in the world. She will be missed and loved by all.
Survivors include her two sons, Louis Benson of Graniteville, SC, Leonard Knotts and wife Linda of Gibson, GA, five daughters, Delores Roberts and husband Mark of Augusta, GA, Myrtis Edison of Augusta, GA, Brenda Brown and husband Don of Thomson, GA, Bonnie Icenhour of Augusta, GA, Donna Maddox and husband Larry of Martinez, GA, her furry companion, Scooter Brown, fifteen grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren, ten great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her sisters, Frances Pennington, Delores Coss, Dora Perceful, one grandson, Ronnie Briggs, one granddaughter, Rhonda Warren, two great grandchildren, Ava Maddox, and Mackenzie Maddox, one great great grandchild, Ryan Fowler.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 16, 2012 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at the funeral home.
