Glenn Robert Sills

Evans, GA – Glenn Robert Sills, 87, born to the late Benjamin and Dorothy Sills, entered into rest on January 12, 2018. He was married to the late Ruby Peters Sills, who entered into rest on April 5, 1995.

Survivors include eight children; Barbara Rutland and husband Lee of Augusta, GA, Glenn Sills, Jr. and wife Mary of Tampa, FL, Vicky Bolick and husband David of Brevard, NC, Michael Sills and wife Julia of Augusta, GA, Patrick Sills and Maira of Augusta, GA, Maureen Birkel and husband Ben of the Philippines, Tina Alexander and husband Larry of Augusta, GA, Joseph Sills and wife Christy of Destin, FL, 23 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren.

“Pop” graduated from The Academy of Richmond County and attended Georgia Tech. He was in the U.S. Air Force and retired from the Insurance industry. Pop loved the beach, Georgia Tech football, and spending time with his family.

The family will receive friend on Monday, January 15, 2018 from 5:30 PM until 7:30 PM at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Rd. Chapel. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
