Harold Carlyle Smith

Augusta, GA---Mr. Harold Carlyle Smith, 91, entered into rest on Friday, April 29, 2011, at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm tomorrow Tuesday, May 3, 2011, in the Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel, with Dr. Mark Sterling officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Smith retired from the Fine Products Company, as Sales Manager, following more than 20 years service. He was a member of the Curtis Baptist Church, where he was a former Deacon. He was a Mason, Shriner, a member of the Scottish Rite and a former member of the Civitan Club of Augusta. He was also a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Evelyn M. Russell Smith of Augusta, GA, four daughters and sons in law, E. Valerie S. Kemp and William Hugh Kemp of Eatonton, GA, Vivian S. Mulkey and J. C. “Monty” Mulkey of Augusta, GA, Veronica S. Fincher and Robert Fincher of Woodstock, GA and Vicki S. Soutar and Douglas Soutar of Watkinsville, GA and by seven grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
Pallbearers will be Monty Mulkey, Robert Fincher, Doug Soutar, Sonny Kemp, Jimmy Richards, and Wesley Fincher
The family will receive friends this evening Monday, May 2, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, at Platt’s Crawford Avenue.
