Johnathan Tyler Thomas

Augusta, GA---Johnathan Tyler Thomas, 9, entered into rest on Sunday, July 13, 2008.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at Central Christian Church with Reverend James McDaniel officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Tyler was a student at Southside Elementary School. He attended Central Christian Church and was an associate member of the Master’s City Riders Motorcycle Club.

He is survived by his mother, Lawanda G. Thomas, step-father, Leon McKenzie, step-brothers, Justin McKenzie and Nathan McKenzie, his maternal grandparents, Harold and Marilyn Gay, all of Augusta and his uncles, Phillip Gay, of Augusta and Andrew Gay, of Jacksonville, FL.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at Platt’s Funeral Home Crawford Avenue from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Joe McKenzie, James McKenzie, Matt Amerson and Jerry Amerson.
