Miriam Ann Highfill

Grovetown, GA – Miriam Ann Highfill, 69, wife of the late Donald O. Highfill, entered into rest on Sunday, May 26, 2013.

At her request, services will be private.

Mrs. Highfill worked for MetLife for many years. After retiring, she opened her home to help foster children and operated a personal care home in Grovetown, GA for several years. She was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother. Mrs. Highfill was courageous and fought hard during her extended illness.

Survivors include her son, Donald C. Highfill of Grovetown, GA, two brothers, Joseph Yassney (Callie) of Greenwood, SC, Edward Yassney (Shirley) of Grovetown, GA, two sisters, Ester Hawkins (Robert) of Evans, GA, Beatrice Eberheart of Martinez, GA, one grandson, Joshua Highfill, longtime friend, Barry Swancy, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Highfill was preceded in death by her parents, the late Joseph and Helen Yassney, daughter, the late Valerie Lea Garey, sister, the late Mary Yassney.
