Augusta, GA---Mr. Patrick Ernest Sizemore beloved husband of Kent Andrews Sizemore, for thirty-five years, entered into rest on April 16, 2010.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 19, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Covenant Presbyterian Church, with Reverend Robert Watkins officiating. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
Mr. Sizemore was a lifelong resident of Augusta, attended the Academy of Richmond County and Junior College of Augusta. After serving his country in the Marine Corps, he attended the Augusta Law School receiving a Juris Doctorate and a Masters Degree.
He was founder and CEO of Regent Security Services, an Elder at Covenant Presbyterian Church, a member of the Augusta Rotary Club (a Paul Harris Fellow), the Augusta Symphony League, and the Augusta Country Club. He was a board member of University Hospital Health Care Foundation, Augusta Technical College Foundation, Augusta State University Foundation, Walton Rehabilitation Hospital, the Boy Scouts and the Boys and Girls Club. To encourage higher education, he established scholarship funds for his employees at local colleges and at Augusta State University from which he received the 2006 distinguished service award.
Mr. Sizemore is also survived by four children, Patrick Edward Sizemore, Thomas Ernest Sizemore, Bert Andrews Hall, and Susan Hall Boone, a brother C. Preston Sizemore, a sister June Sizemore Fouche, twelve grandchildren and one great grandson, named for him.
Pallbearers will include William R, Parker, Edward F. Moody, James M. Menger, Pete Brodie, Michael Sizemore, and Fred Adams.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, April 18, 2010 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
