There are no words to describe just how incredible Mr. Rick Crawford, aka Papa Rick was at being a Catholic, husband, father, grandfather, and provider for his family. Rick was the ultimate patriarch. He was respected and loved by every person who came across his path. Rick had an untouchable love for God, and was a member of St. Teresa Avila Catholic Church. He worked relentlessly at E-Z Go, Division of Textron for 45 years finally retiring in 2009. While his motivating work ethic was evident, he still made time for fun. Rick was an avid hunter, fisherman, and loved playing golf. He also loved to travel; just not too far from home. His favorite destination, however, was his lake house at Clarks Hill. Mr. Rick Caldwell Crawford was dearly loved by all friends and family and will greatly be missed. In the words of Papa Rick, “Tally Ho, Ol Boy”.
In addition to his wife, survivors include one son, Mark K. Crawford, Sr (Melinda) of Lincolnton, GA, one brother, Roy “Ronnie” W. Crawford, three grandchildren, Mark K. Crawford, Jr. of Martinez, Cara L. Crawford of Evans, and Matthew R. Crawford of Augusta.
The family will receive friends Monday, May 12, 2014 from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
In respect for the families wishes, friends are asked to make a small donation to his Catholic home of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, Building Fund, 4921 Columbia Rd., Grovetown, GA 30813.
