Augusta, GA – Mr. Roger Franklin Loman, age 62 beloved husband of Mrs. Charlotte McMahan Loman entered into rest on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at Trinity Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel with Chaplain Ken Gross officiating. Interment to follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Loman was born in Lexington, North Carolina to John Henry Loman and Mary Louya Loman. He retired after 29 years of service with the Augusta Police Department and also the Richmond County Sheriff’s Department. Mr. Loman was also a member of the Masons, the Shriners, and also the Woodmen of the World.

In addition to his loving wife Mr. Loman is survived by his son, Bobby Richter, Sr. of Augusta; his two daughters, Misty Luda of Augusta and Raina Lynn Cousino and husband Mark of North Augusta; his two brothers, Gorman and Danny Loman both of Lexington, NC; his four sisters, Peggy Shipton, Lockie Crowder, Alice Jenkins, and Brenda Pullum all of Lexington, NC; and his eleven grandchildren, Austin Loman, Jacob Blackwell, Christian Luda, Greyson Luda, Amber Loman, Lindsey Cousino, Shelby Cousino, Walter Dale Richter, Bobby Carroll Richter, Jr., Felicity Carter, and Amanda Carter.

Mr. Loman was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Martha Jean Carter, and also by his sister, Etheleen Mayes.

Active pallbearers will be Bobby Richter, Mark Cousino, Jacob Blackwell, Brian Blackwell, Sydney Price, and Joshua Price.

Honorary pallbearers will be current and past members of the Augusta Police Department and Richmond County Sheriff’s Department.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening, March 26, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
