Sandrino Oliver Gomez Viles

February 24, 2000 — June 9, 2020

Sandrino Oliver Gomez Viles was born in Lehigh, Florida on February 24, 2000, and left this earth to be with the Lord on June 9, 2020 in Ft. Myers, Florida. He was 20 years old. He grew up in Naples, and Fort Myers, Florida attending school at Seagate Elementary, the Florida Air Academy, where he earned many awards and distinctions, and South Fort Myers High School.

Oliver is best remembered by his handsome good looks, hilarious sense of humor, and charming personality. He was a breath of sunshine and could make you laugh under any circumstance and won over friends and people wherever he went. He was kind, well liked, and admired by his classmates, his friends, and his family. He had a special way with animals and would have had adopted every lost puppy or kitten he found. Oliver had a big smile, an even bigger heart, and he will be sorely missed by the so many people who loved him.

Oliver was very talented. There was hardly anything he put his mind to that he didn’t do well. He learned to surf off the waters of Kauai, Hawaii when he was so little that he could barely carry his own surfboard, and yet mastered surfing, and thereafter surfed his entire life. He was a skateboarder when he was little, always building ramps, and jumps, practically shutting down the street with his “skateboard parks” which attracted kids from all over the neighborhood. As a snowboarder, Oliver loved the half pipe and terrain park, and riding up the chairlift with his little sister. He snowboarded the slopes in Alyeska, Alaska and in Telluride and Steamboat Springs, Colorado and excelled at gravity defying jumps and twists. He took sailing lessons. He was a talented “DJ” and loved sharing all kinds of music. Oliver really loved fishing, and he had a natural talent for it that was amazing, and he never found a body of water, no matter how small or improbable, in which he couldn’t find and catch a fish.

Oliver is survived by his beloved and adoring mother, Angela Viles, his loving sister, Maria Viles, and his adoptive father, Marcus Viles. Services were private at Westover Memorial Park where he was laid to rest with and his grandparents, Joe and Margaret Viles, his great-grandparents, Marshall and Laura Dyches, and other generations.
