Sylvia Storey Prendergast

Augusta, GA – Mrs. Sylvia Storey Prendergast, 69, was called home by her Heavenly Father and reunited with her beloved husband, Harold Prendergast, Sr. on Sunday, August 12, 2012 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with Rev. Marion Jay and Rev. Hal Hodgens officiating. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mrs. Prendergast treasured her time spent with family and will be remembered as a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.

Mrs. Prendergast is survived by her sons, Harold Prendergast, Jr., and Stevie Prendergast (Holley); her daughter, Debora Lavarnway (Keith); her brothers, Larry Lee Storey (Joyce), and Rickey Wendell Storey, Sr. (Carol); her sister, Angela Ash (Arthur); her grandchildren, Seth Lavarnway, Stevie Brooke Prendergast, Brandon Lavarnway, Jack Prendergast, Dana Rewis, and Lauren Rewis; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Prendergast was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Reba Storey; her brother, J.W. Storey; and her sister, Jean Storey.

Pallbearers will be Arthur Ash, Mike Gee, Seth Lavarnway, George Lavarnway, Brandon Lavarnway, Jack Prendergast, and Ryan Storey.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, August 15, 2012 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
