Thomas B. Tommy Plunkett, Sr.

Thomas “Tommy” B. Plunkett, Sr., 55, entered into rest on Tuesday, October 3, 2017.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Rd Chapel with Rev. John Raborn officiating. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park.

Tommy will be remembered for his happy go lucky personality and the love he had for his family. He never met a stranger and loved being around others. Tommy was a truck driver for several years, most recently U.S. Express. He enjoyed driving trucks and taking his children fishing. Tommy had a great sense of humor and was a truly genuine person.

Survivors include his mother; Mary B. Plunkett of Evans, GA, son; Thomas Bryan Plunkett, Jr. (Rebecca) of Chattanooga, TN, daughter; Rebeccah Lynn Williams of Augusta, GA, two sisters; Jackie Swinson of Florida, Donna Maddox of North Carolina, sister-in-law; Amy Meyer (Charles) of Grovetown, GA, niece: Krystle Carter (Terry) of Michigan, two nephews; Spencer Plunkett (Jessica) of Evans, GA, Grant Plunkett of Evans, GA, and six grandchildren. Tommy was preceded in death by his father, Harold J. Plunkett, two brothers; Steven Charles Plunkett and Harold Craig Plunkett.

Pallbearers will be Ralph Marcano, Richard Marcano, Mike Marcano, Jimmy John, Alvin Crawford, and Ivan Crawford.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at the funeral home.
