Allen D. Sleister

Augusta, GA – Allen D. Sleister, 80, loving husband of the late Patricia Sleister, entered into rest on Friday, November 11, 2016.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 14, 2016 at Westover Memorial Park with Chaplain Dexter Lambert officiating.

Allen served in the U.S. Air Force for 10 years. Following his service in the Air Force, he joined the Army National Guard and served an additional 12 years before retiring. Allen also retired from Eisenhower Medical Center, where he worked as a supply clerk. He was a devout Christian and loved to read his bible. Allen lived his life by focusing on what was truly important – God, Family, and Country.

Survivors include his son; Mark Sleister of Virginia Beach, VA, two daughters; Beverly Neal (Scott) of Augusta, GA, Melanie Sleister of Augusta, GA, sister; Rebecca Pelayo, four grandchildren; Michelle Sleister-Loftis (Joel), Melissa Rudd (Sean) Jeremy Neal, Jason Neal (Karen) and five great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at the funeral home.
