Augusta, GA---Mrs. Annette Ariail Elskes, 88, entered into rest on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Stevens Park Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 4, 2011, in the Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel with Reverend Kevin Steele officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 pm at the Sunrise Cemetery, in Maysville, GA.
Mrs. Elskes was born on January 9, 1922, in Maysville, GA. She graduated from Maysville High School and the Toccoa Falls Institute. Mrs. Elskes had lived most of her life in Augusta, was retired from Anesthesia Associates of Augusta and was an active member of National Hills Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Ariail, Sr., brothers, J. A. Ariail, Jr. and Henry Lester Ariail and sisters, Annie Blanche Ariail, Thelma Ellison and Marcelle Haines.
Survivors include her husband, Monroe Earl Elskes of Sugarland, TX, twin sister, Jeannette Ariail Fleming of Decatur, GA, one son, Joe T. Radford of Newnan, GA, one daughter, JoAnne Radford Sampson of Newnan, GA, six grandchildren, Stacey Flinn Schwartz, Kelley Flinn DeMuth, Julie Radford Smothers, Ashley Radford McCarley, Joseph Charles Radford and Christopher Radford and five great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 3, 2011, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at Platt’s Crawford Avenue.
