Bettie Gene Eason

November 12, 1937 — December 5, 2020

Mrs. Bettie Gene Eason, loving wife of 61 years of Stanley Eason, entered into rest on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at University Hospital Summerville.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday , December 8, 2020 at Bellevue Memorial Gardens with the Rev .Brad Whitt and Rev. Terry Doss officiating. The family will greet friends at the graveside following the service.

Mrs. Eason was a native of Jefferson County, Georgia. She graduated from Berry College with a BS in Home Economics, and then later returned to school at the University of Georgia to obtain her teaching certificate. She taught second grade at South Columbia Elementary for 20 years. She had been a faithful member of Abilene Baptist Church since 1972 and was a member of the Buddy Blitch Sunday School class.

In addition to her husband, Stanley, she is survived by a son, Randall Eason and his wife Tracee, her grandchildren, Logan Eason (Adrian) and Kendall Neidlinger (Andrew), and great grandchildren, Edee Eason and Lilee Neidlinger. She is also survived by her sisters in law, Judy Allen, Lois Woodcock and Francis Gunn. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Allen.
