Bowdre Thomas Gracey, Sr.

Grovetown, GA. - Mr. Bowdre Thomas Gracey Sr. age 81, entered into rest at his residence on Friday, March 19, 2010.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 26, 2010 in the Belair Rd. Chapel at 2:00 p.m.with Elder Elaine Matthews officiating. Interment will follow in the Grovetown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service.
Tom graduated from Harlem High School, attended Augusta College and Augusta Technical College. He was a veteran who proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He retired from Fort Gordon with 35 years of Civil Service.
Tom enjoyed fishing, hunting, attending jazz performances, was an avid gardner, but especially loved working with his roses. He also enjoyed playing Bingo and eating lunch with his friends at the Grovetown Senior Center.
He is survived by his children, Sheila Gracey, Carla Gracey Jenkins (Ted), Cheryl Gracey Dozier (Sport), and Tom Gracey Jr. (Amber), his grandchildren, Nicci Bush(George), Christopher Lett, Lindsay Bissell, Caleigh Becker, Courtney Deas and Caitlyn Deas, his great grandchild, Gracey Bush. Mr. Gracey is also survived by the mother of his children, Betty W. Gracey, sister in law, Mildred Gracey, close nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Gracey was preceded in death by his parents, William and Layunia Gracey, and his brother, Hazel B. Gracey Sr. Tom will be missed by all.
