Camille Thompson Kirkland

Mrs. Camille Thompson Kirkland, beloved wife of 56 years of Jimmie, entered into rest on Monday, October 30, 2023 at Doctors Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, November 3, 2023 in the chapel of Platts Funeral Home Belair Road. The family will receive friends starting at 1:30 PM and burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Kirkland was a native of Augusta. She retired from University Hospital Insurance and Billing department after 37 years of service. She was a member of West Acres Baptist Church, and Chapter 464 of the Eastern Star. Her family will remember her as a loving wife and mother and loyal friend.

In addition to her husband, Jimmie, she is survived by her daughter, Renee Combs (Brian), her grandchildren, Hannah Primrose, Hunter Cowell and Holden Combs, her twin sister, Catherine James (Del) and special friends, Diane Edenfield and Leedean Ledford. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Lilly Thompson and her brothers, Billy Thompson and Harold Thompson.
