Charles Roger Dunn

December 4, 1935 — December 20, 2024

Mr. Charles R. Dunn, 89, husband of the late Naoma Huffman Dunn, entered into rest on December 20,2024 at Georgia War Veterans  Nursing Home. A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 23 at 2 PM with the Father Larry Jesion officiating. Visitation will follow the service. 

A native of Augusta, Charles served in the United States Army, he was a retired salesman for Eli Witt company, formally John J. Miller Hav-A-Tampa Corp. He was also a retired professional painter 

In his younger years, Charles enjoyed golfing, drawing, painting and gardening, Esp. “Holding the hose pipe” as our mom often said. He had a good sense of humor and could “cut a rug” on the dance floor. 

Survivors include two daughters, Julie Robinson (Troy) and Kim Allen. Three grandchildren, Chelsea Leverett (Cuylor) Taylor Allen and Amy Allen. Two great-grand   children, Betty Leverett and Mary Dell Leverett. Two sisters, Patricia Dunn Lang, Linda Dunn Barrett (Greg) and one brother Bobby Dunn (Margaret). 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Byllesby Center, 1904 Greene St., Augusta, GA 30904 or  Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home Resident’s  Benefit Fund, 1101 15th St., Augusta, GA 30901.

The family would like to thank everyone involved in his daily care at Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home, especially the 4th floor nursing and medical staff. Their kindness and care will never be forgotten.
