Mr. Pair was a graduate of Auburn University with a degree in Industrial Management. While at Auburn he was a member of Theta Chi Fraternity and various student organizations. He was an Army veteran, serving as a 1st Cavalry armor officer in Korea and assignments in the United States.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at St. Mark Methodist Church with Rev. Thurman Norville officiating. Interment to follow at Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Charles Broome officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Mr. Pair enjoyed a lifetime in the construction industry conducting major road building, industrial, and nuclear related projects in the United States and abroad. International projects included telecommunication in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Croatia Motorway in Croatia, and the Transylvania Motorway in Romania. Mr. Pair retired from Bechtel Savannah River, Inc. in 2003 and formed Pair Management Services, Inc, which specialized in construction management.

During his work career, he established Pair Construction Company in Bay Minette, Alabama, which he operated for several years. During that time he was active in several civic organizations, serving as the President of the Bay Minette Rotary Club and the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

Mr. Pair has resided in Augusta for the past 39 years. He was an active member of Saint Mark Methodist Church serving on various committees and a former member of the Augusta Chamber of Commerce, the National Management Association, Forest Hills Golf Club, and the Pinnacle Club. He was a current member of the Augusta Country Club and the Augusta Kiwanis. He served on the BSA Troop committee for Troop 45, where two sons attained the rank of Eagle Scout.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, wife, Kay Jarrell Pair, sons Jarrell Pair along with his wife and daughter, Christopher F. Pair (Chelsea) Savannah, Georgia, Kenneth Charles Pair, (Lisa) Birmingham, Alabama, daughter Janet Pair Welch (David) Wetumpka, Alabama. Grandchildren Lauren, Garrett, Grant (Devin), Griffin (Kimberly) Pair all of Trussville, Alabama, Tallulah Kay and Ruby Savannah Pair of Savannah, Georgia, and great grandchildren John George Pair and Parker Leigh Pair of Trussville, Alabama. Sister Sue Kephart, Wetumpka, Alabama and special niece Lisa Tumlin Rhodes and family, John, Parker, Sadie and Melissa of Augusta, Georgia.

Mr. Pair lived by the Golden Rule and believed that if anything was worth doing, it was worth doing it right. He always did his best in all endeavors at all times.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Pair, Jarrell Pair, Christopher Pair, Garrett Pair, Grant Pair, Griffin Pair and John Parker Rhodes, Jr.
