Christine Strange Scott

Mrs. Mary Christine Strange Scott, 93, widow of the late Cebron Rance Scott, Sr., passed away at the Brandon Wilde.

Mrs. Scott was born April 21, 1928 in Prentiss County, Mississippi to the late Earl Strange and the late Virtie Glenn Geno Strange. Known as Christine, she was a homemaker, seamstress, avid gardener, dedicating her life to caring for and loving her family. She will be remembered for that love she so richly possessed for each member of her large family. Mrs. Scott was also member of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Grovetown, Georgia.

Mrs. Scott is survived by her sister: Joyce Dean Morgan (Bill) of Booneville, Mississippi ; her son: Cebron Rance Scott, Jr and his wife Sherry of Evans; her daughters: Janice H. Richardson (Earl) of Evans, Sandra S. Whitman (Dan) of Evans, and Deborah Scott of Evans; grandchildren: Randy Henderson (Tami), Russell Henderson (Amy), Kim Schultz (Steve), Todd Whitman (Alysson), Christy W. Evans (Bryan), Nicole Richardson-Smith (Mark), Leslie Pounders (JP), Scotty Mayo, and Carter Scott Pennington (Chandler); great-grandchildren: Jacob Whitman (Christian), Brooke Evans, Justin Whitman, Hanna Evans, Logan Henderson, Brittnie Watson (Zack), John Monroe (Rochelle), Parker Pounders, Sawyer Pounders, Sadie Pounders, Jack Mason Schultz, Wyatt Henderson, Olivia Smith, Gracelyn Smith and Charlotte Smith; great-great-granchildren: Lincoln Monroe and Miller Brooke Jones any many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son; Randall Carroll Henderson, brothers: William Kenneth Strange, William Thomas Strange, and Bobby Lee Strange, and her sister: Ruby Mae Strange Tittle.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 11, 2022, in the Chapel of Platt’s Funeral Home located at 337 North Belair Road in Evans, Georgia with burial in the Bellevue Memorial Gardens located at 4501 Wrightsboro Road in Grovetown, Georgia.

A visitation will be from 9:30 AM until the hour of service on Monday at Platt’s Funeral Home – Belair Road
