Mr. Christopher “CD” Daniel Wesson entered into rest on Monday, August 12, 2024, at his residence.
A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Platts Funeral Home Belair Road at 4:00 PM on Saturday, August 31, 2024 with the Rev. Leland Wesson officiating. The family will greet friends two hours prior, starting at 2:00.
Christopher, or C.D. as he was known to his friends, was born in San Jacinto, California to Byron and Virginia Young Wesson. In 2006, Christopher married his one and only true love Elizabeth. They welcomed their firstborn daughter Amber Rose in 2007, followed by their other daughter Briahnna Kaileen in 2009, and then their son Caedman Byron in 2011. CD and his family have always had a very strong bond and often shared their love of Celtic & Native American heritage, Disney, books, movies, music, crafts, games, nature & animals. CD has always had a great love for the arts and was an amazing artist himself. He always maintained a strong advocacy for the arts as well as the artists behind it. He had a great many occupations in his life, but none that he loved more than being a youth pastor and working with or around his art and his social media community and relationships. Christopher was a unique, kind, caring, and funny man, whom most would refer to as a very “punny” guy, his laugh being the most unique and memorable to all. He had a passion for the broken and the struggling and cared deeply for people, thus touching many lives. His love of God was undeniable and he believed in his promises, for that reason, we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is walking hand in hand with his Father & Mother and talking to Jesus in Heaven.
C.D. is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Fontenot Wesson, his children; Caedmon Wesson, Amber Wesson and Briahna Wesson, his sisters, Stephanie Wesson (Aaron Combs) and Heather Webb (Richmond) and his nephews, Xander Keefer, Andrew “Drew” Keefer and Nathaniel “Nathan” Keefer.
If so desired, memorials may be made to The Artist Guild of Columbia County
