Clara Jane "Cj" Mitchell

Clara Jane “CJ” Mitchell, 81, beloved wife of the late William L. Mitchell, Jr., entered into rest on January 15, 2021.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, January 22, 2021 at Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Scott Hearn officiating.

CJ was born in North Carolina to the late James and Edith Toole. She was a graduate of Aquinas High School. CJ served proudly as a Radiology Tech with the VA Hospital for 22 years until her retirement. She was an active member of Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church where she worked with the children and youth ministries. CJ was also very active with Boy Scouts of America, volunteered at the Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home (Blue Goose) and was active with the CSRA Parkinson Support Group. She loved spending time outdoors especially at the beach. CJ will be remembered for her giving heart having touched the lives of many.

CJ is survived by her son, James F. Mitchell (Teresa); her daughter, Edith M. Swab (Dewey); brother, Henry Toole (Peggy); sister, Martha Toole Hood; grandchildren, Amanda, Trevor and Devin Swab; nieces, Kimberly Rasmussen (Kyle), Jennifer Dean (Jason) and Betsy Toole; and nephew, Frank Toole. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Benjamin Toole and nephew, Matthew Hood.

Attendees will be asked to where masks or face coverings and to practice social distancing.
