Dennis was born on July 12th, 1988 in Hickory, North Carolina. In 2006 he graduated from Lakeside High School, where he was a member of the wrestling team, qualifying for the state finals his junior and senior years. Dennis attended Augusta State University and later Augusta Technical College, where he earned a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology. A member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Evans, GA, Dennis frequently volunteered with his dad in the Mechanics Ministry and other local ministries.
Dennis was a kindhearted, caring, and loving son, brother, and uncle who liked spending time with his family, his friends, and his dogs. A friend to many in all walks of life, Dennis treated others with fairness and equality. He had a servant’s heart and was passionate about helping others in any way he could. Hanging out around a campfire and taking long walks in the woods brought great enjoyment to Dennis, activities he always shared with his beloved rescue dogs, Gus and Stubby.
Dennis had a knack for fixing things and had an extensive collection of specialty tools and gadgets that he loved to use and share. He enjoyed playing golf with his dad, kayaking, shooting hoops, working in the yard, and listening to music. He took a special interest in World War II history, inspired by his grandfather who served as a pilot during the war. Most of all, Dennis was a free spirit and gentle soul who spent his time working hard, playing hard, and enjoying life to the fullest.
