Augusta, GA – Mrs. Elizabeth Cromer passed away on July 17, 2010 at Trinity Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Westview Cemetery with the Reverend Wes Gardner officiating.

Doris was born in Augusta on January 5, 1931 to Alberta “Sis” and H. Oscar Walker. She attended school in Augusta and worked for Superior Court Judges and Richmond County in several departments over many years. Doris was a loving and dedicated wife and a gracious and nurturing mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Everyone who knew her loved her and she never met a stranger.

Doris is survived by a heartbroken husband, Hal M. Cromer, of Martinez; a sister, Rebecca Taylor of Martinez; a brother, H. Oscar Walker of Edgefield, SC; her children, Hal David Cromer, Sr. of Appling, GA, Charles Daryl Cromer of Grovetown; and Dale Elizabeth Cromer of Augusta; her grandchildren Hal David Cromer, Jr., Travis Cromer, Brent Jenkins, Laura Marshall, Shannon Hoyt, Justin Stanfield, Brittany Howell, Charles Cromer, Stetson Cromer, Chad Perhonish; and her great-grandchildren, Ansley Marshall, Jonathan Marshall, Chance Howell, and Britten Jenkins.

The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Monday evening, July 19, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
