Edward Craig Kupitz

Edward Craig Kupitz, 62, of Evans, GA, passed away on July 3, 2023.

Craig was born in Augusta, GA to Ed and Willene Kupitz on December 4, 1960. He went to school at Evans High School. He married Kitty Jackson on October 22, 1983 in Martinez, GA. He graduated from Phillips College of Augusta.

He worked as an outside sales rep for Sherwin Williams Paint with nearly 4 decades of experience in the paint industry.

Craig was a charter member of West Acres Baptist Church. He coached girls fast pitch softball for over 12 years. He was also an avid University of Georgia fan as well as a follower of all music by Prince.

Craig is preceded in death by his father Edward Charles Kupitz, Bob and Blanche Safley, his maternal grandparents; Ed Kupitz and Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Sandstrom, paternal grandparents.

Craig is survived by Katheryn J. Kupitz, spouse; Heather Kupitz Sparks and Brandon, daughter and son in law; Katheryn Elise Lane and Christian, daughter and son in law; Eric Corey Kupitz and Gabriella, son and daughter in law; Willene Safely Kupitz, mother; and 4 grandchildren, Skyler, Payton, Coba, and Charleigh.

Visitation will be from 6-8pm, Friday, July 7th at Platt’s Funeral Home on N. Belair Rd. in Evans, GA.

Funeral services will be held at 11am, Saturday, July 8th with the Reverend Larry Harmon officiating.Services will be livestreamed on the West Acres Baptist Church Youtube page.   Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens of Grovetown, GA. Arrangements are by Platt’s Funeral Home.
