Emily S. Herin

Emily S. Herin, beloved wife of William P. Herin, Sr. for 49 years entered into enteral rest on Saturday, March 8, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of Ben and Bertie Studstill of Eastman, GA. She was a member of The Hill Baptist Church for many years, she was a member of The Augusta Women’s Club, Sunday School Class at Hill Baptist Church, and the Elks Club of Augusta, she graduated from Eastman High School in Dodge County, GA, and attended Nursing School in Warner Robbins, GA.

Emily and her husband enjoyed traveling and spending much time with their children, grandchildren, and great grands. She worked in the family business Herin Transfer Furniture and Antique Company with her husband for many years.

Emily is preceded in death by her loving husband, William P. Herin, Sr., her parents; Ben and Bertie Studstill.

Survivors include her three children; Elizabeth Cox (Sid) of Waynesboro, GA, Barbara Jackson (Bud) of Augusta, GA, William P. Herin, Jr. (Ellen) of Evans, GA, grandchildren; Kim Belk (Pat) of Sardis GA, C. J. Broome (Kristina) of Acworth, GA, Buddy Jackson of Augusta, GA, Michelle Horne (Tony) of Martinez, GA, Paul Herin (Kristi) of Ooltewah, TN, and Jordan Herin (Nancy) of Evans, GA, great grandchildren; Alex Stephens of Sardis, GA, Bradley Belk of Sardis, GA Mary Elizabeth Jackson of Augusta, GA, Jackson Horne of Martinez, GA, Emily Ann Horne of Martinez, GA, Julian Herin of Evans, GA, McKenzie Broome of Acworth, GA, great great grandchild; Timberlee Stephens of Sardis, GA, her brother; Ed Studstill of Americus, GA, she has many nieces and nephews that she loved very much.

In addition to her husband and parents, Emily is predeceased by two brothers; Ben Studstill, Jr (Eloise) of Alabama, and Lee Studstill (Corine) of Macon, GA, one sister; Ruth Smith (Guyton) of Warner Robbins, GA.

The family would like to give many thanks to Brookdale of Augusta and Trinity for their loving care during her stay.

Visitation will be 11 am till 12 noon, Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Platt’s Funeral Home 337 N Belair Road, Evans, GA 30809 with a service at 12 noon in the chapel of Platt’s Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held 4 pm Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Macon Memorial Park 4101 Mercer University Dr. Macon, GA 31204.

Pallbearers will be William P. Herin, III, Jordan Herin, Buddy Jackson, C. J. Broome, Tony Horne, Jackson Horne, and Bradley Belk.
