Evans – Mrs. Florence M. Fink, also known as “Yodelin‘ Flo”, 94, entered into rest on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Kentwood Nursing Facility.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 2:00 PM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church with Father Mike Ingram officiating. Burial will be on Thursday, June 21 at 2:00 PM at Forest Meadows Cemetery in Gainesville, Florida.
Mrs. Fink was born May 23, 1918 in Cardale, Pennsylvania. She was a featured country singer and member of the WWVA Jamboree in Wheeling, West Virginia in the 1930’s. She loved yodelin, singing, playing her guitar, painting, crocheting, and telling stories of her days on the radio. She always had a beautiful smile to brighten your day. She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her loving husbands, Michael Sirotock and Alvin A. Fink. She is survived by her son, Ronald M. Sirotock and his wife, Debra of Columbus, Ohio, a daughter, Linda Karns of Jacksonville, Florida, her grandchildren, Lisa Hargrove and husband, Wayne of Evans, Tyttan Sirotock of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Andrew Braverman of Florida, her great grandchildren, Seth Hargrove, Hunter Hargrove and Virden Hargrove and his wife, Lydia Hargrove, great-great grandchildren, Christian and Jackson Hargrove, her two brothers, Fred and David Marasco, and a sister, Joan Larabee of Silverdale, Washington. The family would like to thank the staff at Kentwood for their loving care and devotion to Florence and her family
The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday, from 12:00 PM until service time.
