Geneva Lewis Mrs. Rhoden

Martinez – Mrs. Geneva Lewis Rhoden, beloved wife of 50 years of the late Alvin Goode Rhoden Jr., died peacefully on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Trinity Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Rhoden grew up in Swainsboro, Georgia, but relocated to Augusta after marrying Al Rhoden. She was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church, and was a homemaker.

She is survived by her son, David Rhoden (Diane), her daughter, Pam Baldwin (Robbie), her five grandchildren, Jeremy Rhoden (Stephanie), Chrissy Rhoden, Amanda Rhoden of Charlotte, N.C., Austin Bragg, and Ansley Bragg. She is also survived by her sister in law, Mary Rhoden of Modoc, S.C., a special friend, Agnes Roberts, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Al, she was also preceded in death by her son, Alvin Goode Rhoden III.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Rhoden, Austin Bragg, Charlie Roy Hall and George Perkins.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, September 10, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
