Sister Geneva Tate’s life began on December 17th 1934, a journey filled with faith, service, and love. On December 20th 2024, she peacefully went to be with the Lord leaving behind a legacy of dedication to her faith and community.
Sister Tate joined the Church at an early age, devoting her life to serving God and others. She was an active and cherished member of several ministries, including the Beautification Club, the Usher Board, and the Soldiers for Christ. Her leadership and devotion were especially evident during her time as President of the Deaconess Ministry, a role she carried out with grace and commitment until she stepped down.
She is survived by her beloved daughter Patricia Thurmond (Jesse); her brother Sam Sullivan; her grandchildren, Jacqueline Ware and Corey Thurmond; her great-grandchild, Justice Rachi-Nadji Ware (Madisen); and her great-great-grandchild, Emerson Tate Ware.
Sister Tate’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her and were inspired by her faith and commitment. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
