George Wesley Steinmeyer

Mr. George Wesley Steinmeyer, beloved husband of 36 years of Lisa Steinmeyer, entered into rest on Tuesday, September 7, 2021.
The family will receive friends on Saturday evening, September 11, 2021 from 5:00 until 7:00 at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with Chaplain Dexter Lambert officiating.
Mr. Steinmeyer was an avid hunter and fisherman who participated regularly with his son in fishing tournaments. He was a member of the Bank Runners Fishing Club as part of the Clark Hill Committee. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, protective brother, proud Papa, and loyal friend.
In addition to his wife, Lisa, he is survived by his son, George Wesley Steinmeyer, Jr. (Haley), his granddaughter, Lauralee Steinmeyer, his mother, Martha Steinmeyer, and his siblings, Cindy Boerstler (Chris) and Michael Steinmeyer (Tammy), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Steinmeyer.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Clark Hill Committee (Local Bass Tournament Fishing Organization) who will disperse the funds to the CHC sponsored local Youth Fishing teams. The funds will allow the middle and high school students to travel and compete against other schools across the country to enjoy the outdoors and comradery of the sport he loved.
