Geraldyne Ruth Mrs. Plummer

Augusta, GA---Mrs. Geraldyne Ruth Plummer entered into the presence of her Lord, on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at her residence.
A memorial service, in celebration of her life, will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Whole Life Ministries, 2621 Washington Rd., Augusta, GA., with Dr. Sandra Kennedy officiating.
The family will receive friends on Saturday following the service, at the Church.
Gerry was born April 30, 1922 in Lone Tree, Iowa, the daughter of Perry S. and Esther (Robinson) Holdeman. She received a teaching certificate from Iowa State Teacher’s College in Cedar Falls, IA and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Iowa. In 1946, she married Richard (Dick) Plummer in Waterloo, Iowa. After retirement, she and her husband spent thirteen years wintering in Mesa, Arizona. They moved to Augusta, Georgia in recent years to be near family.
Gerry was a loving wife and mother. She had a genuine love for people and was always willing to touch another life with her thoughtful, caring nature. She will be greatly missed by her husband, daughters, Carol Urbaniec (Eric), Lemont, IL, Ruth Hesseltine, Iowa City, IA and Jane Jacobson (Mark), Martinez, GA, her eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the wonderful Christian caregivers at Odyssey Hospice in Martinez, GA, Aaron Cohrs, Dr. Wm. Barfield III, Dr. Alice David and the Healing Center staff at Whole Life Ministries.
