Jeffrey Bruce Tapley

Appling, GA – Jeffrey Bruce Tapley, 48, entered into rest on Sunday, April 24, 2011.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Rd. Chapel with Rev. Alvin Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Jeffrey worked at Plant Vogtle for many years. He was an avid Atlanta Falcons fan and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his mother, Bessie B. Tapley of Appling, GA, sister, Diane T. Jennings and husband Virgil of Appling, GA, brother, Danny Tapley and wife JoAnn of Augusta, GA,. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Janet Wheatley (Scott), Jennifer Powell (Jason), Jason Tapley, Jessica Tapley, Matthew Tapley, great nephews, Jacob Powell, Luke Powell, and Harrison Wheatley.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father, the late Woodrow W. Tapley, and his sister, the late Kathryn Janet Tapley Toole.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
