Joanna Chandler Roessner

Augusta, GA-Joanna Chandler Roessner entered into rest on January 23, 2009 at Doctor’s Hospital.
Memorial services will be held at Westover Memorial Park on Monday, January 26, at 3:00 PM with the Dr. G. Dan McCall officiating.
Joanna was a graduate of Emory University and received a Masters degree in Political Science from Georgia State University. She was a stock broker at Merrill Lynch of Augusta and returned to school later in life to obtain her teaching degree. She moved to Germany with her husband in 1999 where the two of them operated a Bed and Breakfast in Stade, Germany. Most importantly, she was a devoted mother to her twin daughters.
Joanna was preceded in death by her parents John Lidelle Chandler and Jane Lewis Chandler. Survivors include her daughters Joanna Kortright Perry and husband Chris, Jane Elizabeth Kortright and fiancé Mark Morton, husband Karl Roessner, two sisters Amelia Chandler Azar and husband Ken and Jane Chandler Wires and husband Ed; Nieces Melissa Yarid Azar, Amy Gray Kosh and husband Kevin and Janie Gray Wallace and husband Johnny, Nephew John Chandler Azar, grand-niece and nephew Mya Perri Gargone and Zachary Wallace and her faithful best friend, her schnoodle Annie.
