John "Bubba" Lillard

October 20, 1962 — December 23, 2020

John “Bubba” Bratton Lillard, 58, entered into rest on Tuesday, December 22, 2020.

Bubba was born and raised in Franklin, Tennessee. He graduated from Page High School and then Middle Tennessee State University. He worked hard in the agriculture business to provide for his family. He was an avid baseball fan, especially the Braves, and loved sports, live music, and grilling. He was a devoted husband and a beloved father - he was very proud of his children’s accomplishments. He loved spending time on the family farm with his brothers and family, and the annual beach trips.

Preceded in death by his father, James Oliver Lillard. Survived by wife, Lisa Brickell Lillard. Daughter Amanda “Mandy” Lillard Colohan (Collin), Joel Bratton Lillard, and John Bryan Lillard. Mother, Sarah Lillard. Brothers, Mike Lillard (Charlotte) and Jeff Lillard (Kathy). Faithful dog buddy, Smokey.

A special thanks to Cindy Plymire, Audrey Eubanks and Anna Carter, the doctors and nurses at the hospitals, both in Thomson and Augusta especially Reece Federman and Robin Gerard.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with Reverend Greg Porterfield officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00. A celebration of life will be held at a later date on the family farm in Franklin, Tennessee.
