John Cullen Price, Jr.

Johnny, son of the late John “Jake” Price, Sr. and Melba Price, was born in Augusta, GA on November 16, 1947. He was a 1967 graduate of Evans High School, and was a member of UA Local 150 Plumbers & Steamfitters for 30 years.

Johnny loved spending time with his family, fishing and golfing. He was also an avid football fan, with the Georgia Bulldogs being his favorite team.

Johnny is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patricia Newsome Price of Evans; his children, Angela Price of Evans, Cullen Price (Misty) of Evans, and Sarah Batioja (Bo) of Leland, NC; his grandchildren, Jade Price (Patrick) of Evans, Alexandra Price of Evans, and Savannah Price of Leland, NC; his great-grandchildren, Riley Ward and Jaxon “Lil Jake” Price-Clardy both of Evans; his brother, Larry Price (Kathy) of Martinez; several nieces and nephews; cousins, Hal Reeves (Mirna), Pat Garcia, Laney Walker, and Jan White (Steve); his faithful companion (Yorkie-Poo) BooBoo; and his best friend and traveling work buddy, John “Rab” Harrison.

Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at 12pm at Platt's Funeral Home on North Belair Rd. in Evans with Pastor Clifton O’Bryan of Aiken, SC officiating.
