Evans, GA – Mr. Johnnie J. Coffee, 53, husband of Mrs. Leslie Coffee, entered into rest on Saturday, January 07, 2012.
A memorial service will be held today January 8, 2012 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel at 4:00 PM with Rev. Brian Rackley officiating.
Johnnie was a retired Sergeant in the US National Guard and was stationed in McCormick, SC at 122nd Engineer Battalion, Company A. He was part of the McCormick Jaycee’s and worked as a construction worker. He loved to fish, doing yard work, loved to watch NASCAR, and loved drinking Mountain Dew.
In addition to his wife, survivors include three sons, Jonathan Coffee of Kansas, Christopher Coffee of Tennessee, Justin King of Martinez, GA; one daughter, Jessica Walker of Martinez, GA; three brothers, Greg Coffee, Sydney Coffee, Danny Coffee; four sisters, Pam Bussy, Katie Fuller, Gail Coffee, Linda Wilkie, his mother in law, Dovie T. Walker; several brothers and sisters in law; nieces and nephews; and his god children. He was preceded in death by his father, William Isom Coffee, his mother, Lois Coffee, his father in law, Gilliam Allen Walker, and god daughter, Alana May Calahan.
The family will receive friends today, Sunday, January 8, 2012 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
