Kathleen "Kitty" Ann Brittingham

Kathleen “Kitty” Ann Brittingham was called to Heaven by the Lord Jesus on Saturday, March 6, 2021. She was at home, surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with the Rev. Mark Ross officiating. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park.

Kitty was born in Augusta on January 5, 1927, and is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Kennedy Lawrence and Marion O’Dowd Lawrence, her husband, John Joseph Brittingham, and her siblings, Charles K. Lawrence, Joseph Louis Lawrence, Joyce L. Young and Marion “Tee” Loyal.

She is survived by her children, Karen Ann Brittingham, John Joseph Brittingham, Jr. (Noel), Kathleen Lawrence Brittingham, Charles Lawrence Brittingham, Thomas Louis Brittingham and William Herman Brittingham as well as twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Kitty was a life-long member of St. Mary on the Hill and was a great mother and devoted Catholic. She was loved greatly by numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She loved to spend time in the mountains and was self-proclaimed “Queen of Long John Mountain” in Hendersonville, N.C. Kitty was mainly a stay at home mom who raised six kids and taught them the love of life, people and especially dogs.

Though she may be gone from earth, she will never leave our hearts.
