Kenneth F. Martin, Sr.

Mr. Kenneth F. Martin, Sr., entered into rest on Friday, July 10, 2020 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Platts Funeral Home Belair Road Chapel. Burial will be private.

Kenneth was a 1963 graduate of Evans High School. He enlisted in the US Army and rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant. After the military, he went to work at Lowes in Augusta and Griffin before retiring after many years of service.

He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Martin, his son, Kenneth Martin, Jr (Kristi), his brothers and sisters; Kathryn Corbin (John), Randy Martin (Karen), Rachel Miles (Kenneth) and David Martin (Joy), his grandchildren; Amanda Dowell (Pete), Chris Martin and Kaylei Martin, as well as his great grandchildren; Josh, Kieran, Jaden, Devin and Donavan. He is also survived by his best friends; Billy Morales and Gerald Baggs. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Doris Martin.
