Louise Britton Weathers

Mrs. Louise Britton Weathers, beloved wife of the late Clifton Weathers, entered into rest on Friday, February 7, 2025, at her residence. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at The Sanctuary Church with Rev. Bryan Cockrell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. 

Louise was an only child born to James and Virginia Britton in Augusta in 1929. She met the love of her life, Clifton Weathers, and they were married in 1949. She began her career working as a bank teller and agent at Metropolitan Insurance Company, before she decided to start her own business. In 1960, she opened Weathers Flowers and Gifts which grew into a well-known Augusta business. In 2005, she decided to retire and closed the florist. Louise was a charter member of The Sanctuary Church. For many years Louise was involved with the American Business Women's Association (ABWA). She expanded her floral career by being active in the Society of American Florists as well as numerous local, state and national floral organizations. 

She is survived by her daughter, Jumelle Daniel, her grandchildren, Britt Daniel, Rachel Reigle (Chris), Jessica Radford (Richard), Christina Radford and James Radford, her great-grandchildren, Mikell Reigle, James Reigle, William Thompson, Daniel Headrick, Timothy Beecher, Nathaniel Beecher, Amber Chavarria, Adillynee Willie and Emily Willie and her friend and caregiver, Tassina Tillman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton and her son, Robert Walter Weathers.
