Mrs. Lulline Hodges Phillips, beloved wife of Rodney Phillips, entered into rest on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Doctors Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, September 14, 2024, in the chapel of Platts Funeral Home Belair Road. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private at a later date.
Lulline was born in Augusta, Georgia to Thomas E. Hodges Sr and Eleanor Reill Hodges. She was a 1971 graduate of the Academy of Richmond County. She attended Augusta Technical College and earned a degree in nursing. She used her training at MCG, PHC and OB/GYN office with Dr. Long before going to work at the Richmond County Health Department, where she retired after 17 years of service. She was an avid crocheter, enjoyed line dancing and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
In addition to her husband, Rodney, with whom she was married for 33 plus years, she is survived by her children, Robert “Keith” Kersey (Lisa) and Krisy Harden Tompkins (Joseph), her grandchildren, Bethany Tompkins, Beatrice Tompkins and Justin “Zane” Kersey, her great grandchildren, Leon James Serna and Luke Trevor Lee Stewart, her sisters, Judith H. Thomason and Molly-Ayn Hodges Lopp (Jeff) and her brother, Thomas E. Hodges Jr. (Jennie).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Eleanor and her brother, Mark H. Hodges.
