Mary Anne Colleran Dillard

Mary Anne Colleran Dillard, 81, of Augusta, Georgia passed away peacefully on September 16, 2023 in Thomson, Georgia.

Mary Anne was born in Augusta, Georgia to Thomas and Alma Colleran on March 4, 1942. She attended high school at Richmond Academy and nursing school at University Hospital in Augusta.

She proudly worked and retired as a registered nurse in both Augusta, Georgia and Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Mary Anne was active in her church and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed being artistic, was an eager participant in local jam sessions playing the Irish drum, and learning all she could about gemology!

Mary Anne is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Alma Colleran; Brothers, Thomas Colleran Jr., Bobby Colleran and Marty Colleran; Sister, Dot Colleran Oquinn.

Mary Anne is survived by her husband, Albert Holmes Dillard, Children - Leah Anne Perry (Derrell), Michael Philip Thornhill (Stephanie), Lorie Lynn McKinley (Derek), and Sharon Davis Hutko (Mike); Her sister - Iris Faye Hyatt; Grandchildren - Nathan Thornhill, Courtney Thornhill, Seth McKinley, Mariah McKinley, Matthew Perry, Nicholas Thornhill, Lilly LaBounty, Bruce LaBounty, Brooke Thornhill, Olivia Smith and seven great grandchildren.

The family of Mary Anne Colleran Dillard wishes to extend our sincere thanks to ProMedica Hospice.

Visitation will be from 12:00 - 1:00pm on Saturday, September 23, 2023 with her memorial service to follow at 1:00pm, with Pastor Todd Sturgell officiating in the chapel of Platt's Funeral Home Evans Chapel.
