Nell Leopard

April 19, 1937 — September 14, 2024

Nell Leopard, 87, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 14, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 7:00 pm at Whole Life Ministries with Dr. Sandra G. Kennedy officiating. Graveside service will follow on Friday, September 20, 2024 at 3:30 pm at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. Velda Schirhart and Rev. Wayne Bruner officiating.

Nell was born in Warrenville, SC to a large family and grew up with a heart of devotion to her Lord and a love for her family and to her church.

She retired from Georgia Regional Hospital after many years of service. She considered the care that she gave her patients as a ministry of compassion.

Learning and growing with the Word of God was a primary part of her life. After two years of study, she graduated from Rhema Bible Training College and later earned a Doctor of Theology with the Christian Life School of Theology. A member of Whole Life Ministries, she volunteered to teach at the Healing Center. This was the fulfillment of one of her greatest joys. She also supported the spreading of the Word as a lifetime partner of Sandra Kennedy Ministry and Rhema Bible Training College.

She is survived by her loving children, Walter Wendell Underwood, Sylvia Beasley, Sabrina McTyre, Anthony “Jay” Underwood (Lynn), Terrie Ward, Soundra Weimar (Larry), Randy Rush (Tammy), her brother, Gordon Willard Leopard and her sister Wyomie McRae. She was a grandmother of 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren.
