Pastor Tony Henderson

Mr. Nelson Anthony “Tony” Henderson, age 79, beloved husband of Linda Henderson, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 15, 2021. Tony was the pastor of Clifford Memorial Church for 21 years, worked for Merchant Credit Bureau, retired from Atlanta Gas Light Company, and served in the United States Army. He traveled with his family all across the Southeast singing Southern Gospel music with his girls. He has touch countless lives with his ministry!
Visitation for Tony will be 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Platt’s Funeral Home on Belair Road. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 17, 2021 at New Life Church-Gateway Campus 215 Lewiston Road, Grovetown GA 30813 with Pastor Tim Hawkins and Henry Shaffer, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park 2700 Deans Bridge Road, Augusta GA 30906.
In addition to his wife, Linda, he is survived by his children; William Anderson (Sarah), Candy Shaffer (Henry Shaffer, Jr.), Tabatha Soto (Dwayne), Cindy Parrack (Jeff); his 12 grandchildren; He was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson Austin Henderson and Vera Colvin Pinkston, his first wife Becky Henderson, his son Nelson Anthony Henderson, Jr and his sister Jackie Hawkins.
